Sightsavers India has culminated its five yearlong Sundarbans Eye Health Project with Standard Chartered Bank. The report outlines 5 year progress of eye health project in the Sundarbans. The goal of the project was to contribute towards elimination of avoidable blindness in the Sundarbans region of West Bengal by 2018.
The State Health Society Bihar (SHSB) and Sightsavers India signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen the National Programme for Control of Blindness and Visual Impairment (NPCB&VI) in the State of Bihar.
Taking a step towards empowering the girl child, Sightsavers with the support of Baxter and in collaboration with Susrut Eye Foundation and Research Centre inaugurated its Vidyajyoti All Girls’ School Eye Health Programme.
Sightsavers in association with Baxter India and Dr. Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital launched a new Vision Centre under its Urban Eye Health Programme in Shahbad Dairy, New Delhi.
