Sightsavers India also known as Royal Commonwealth Society for the Blind has been Great Place to Work-Certified™. Great Place to Work® Institute certification is considered as the gold standard for defining great workplaces across business, academia and government organizations. It reflects a high-performance and high-trust culture within the organisation.
According to Great Place to Work®, “the Certification is one of the most prestigious achievements for any organization across the globe. For an organization to get certified, 70% or more of its employee respondents should rate the organization as a great workplace and its people practices should be rated 2.5 or more on a 5 point scale by Great Place to Work® Institute. Social Services Organizations, Small & Mid-Sized Organizations or Start-Ups will be Great Place to Work-Certified™ if their people practices are rated 2 or more on the 5 point scale in addition to the employee feedback.”
It is an honour for Sightsavers to be recognised by its employees as fair, compassionate, motivated and a respected organisation. The not-for-profit organisation has been certified for a year under the small organisations category by Great Places to Work Institute.
RN Mohanty, CEO Sightsavers India said, “The certification has not only further propelled our camaraderie as an organisation but helped us gather in-depth insights on our employee experience. It echoes what we stand for as a group. For an organisation like Sightsavers which works for noble causes like preventing avoidable blindness and ensuring that people with disability lead a life of dignity, the certification is opportune and in tandem with our core values of collaboration to further our aforementioned causes. As they say, ‘recognition is the greatest motivator’, we will continue to foster the learning and respectful culture to nurture people excellence.”
