Sightsavers launches its fourth Static Vision Centre under RAAHI in Ballabhgarh, Haryana

Sightsavers opened a new Vision Centre under the RAAHI- National Truckers’ Eye Health Programme in Transport Nagar Ballabhgarh, Haryana. RAAHI is designed to align with the Sightsavers global Uncorrected Refractive Error Strategy where Road safety is a core component. The truckers were given free eye checkups and corrective measure to combat with their eye health issues.

The five year long Sundarbans Eye Health project comes to an end

Sightsavers India has culminated its five yearlong Sundarbans Eye Health Project with Standard Chartered Bank. The report outlines 5 year progress of eye health project in the Sundarbans. The goal of the project was to contribute towards elimination of avoidable blindness in the Sundarbans region of West Bengal by 2018.
